Closer was inspired simply by the need for people to sit and be at one with the universe. The idea that the closer you get to yourself, the quieter everything becomes is one of those counter-intuitive ideas that really inspire me.

I also used Closer as the theme song for the Equanimous video I produced to promote the book. It was well received by its audience.
